Ginny Lackey was named to the TopDrawerSoccer Women's Soccer National Team of the Week, the outlet announced Tuesday morning.Â

This is Lackey's first National Team of the Week honor of her career from TopDrawerSoccer. It marks the fourth straight season at least one Duke has made an appearance on the list.

The freshman has begun her collegiate career on a tear, making her debut on Sep. 5th against West Virginia. In five games, she has totaled six goals and two assists, leading a surging offense that has averaged three goals per game since her debut.
This past week, the Bolton, Manchester native helped lead the Dukes to two wins against Coastal Carolina, 3-1, and rival Old Dominion, 3-2. Against Coastal Carolina, she netted a goal and had two assists while scoring a goal against ODU to keep JMU undefeated in Sun Belt Conference play.

The Dukes' record stands at 5-3-2 as they head into their next conference match at ULM on Friday, Oct. 4th at 7 p.m. ET.
