HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison football announced Monday it has signed a single-game contract with Weber State and will host the Wildcats on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, at Bridgeforth Stadium to open the 2025 season.
This will be the fourth meeting all-time between the Dukes and Wildcats, but the first for JMU while at the Football Bowl Subdivision level.
JMU is 3-0 all-time against Weber State, winning a pair of FCS playoff games at home (2017 quarterfinals and 2019 semifinals) and a road regular-season matchup (2021).
This game replaces the previously scheduled game with Tennessee Tech, which has been canceled.
In addition to Weber State, JMU will also host Washington State (Nov. 22) while traveling to Louisville (Sept. 6) and Liberty (Sept. 20) for non-conference action.
