JMU OPENS SUN BELT PLAY AGAINST TROY

James Madison is ready to face its first Sun Belt Conference opponent of the 2024-25 campaign when the Dukes host Troy on Sunday, Dec. 29. Tip time is slated for 2 p.m. and will serve as the front end of a doubleheader, with the men taking on Midway (Ky.) at 5 p.m.
JMU owns three top-40 marks nationally: defensive rebounds per game (31st - 28.9), rebounds per game (38th - 42.17) and three-point percentage defense (39th - 25.8).

THE DUKES VS. THE SUN BELT

James Madison holds an 80-68 (.541) record against current Sun Belt Conference foes and is 31-11 (.738) since joining the conference in 2022.
The Dukes have encountered Old Dominion more than any other SBC opponent, trailing 53-30 in the all-time series. Additionally, ODU is the only team in the league with a winning record against JMU.
JMU has never lost to Louisiana (4-0), Arkansas State (2-0), Texas State (2-0), Southern Miss (2-0), South Alabama (2-0), or ULM (1-0).

DUKES AT HOME

JMU is 43-19 (.694) since the Atlantic Union Bank Center opened up at the start of the 2020-21 season.
The Dukes finished 12-4 at home last season, the most home wins since the 2019-20 season when they went 14-1.
James Madison is 7-3 in its last 10 home contests, with the three losses coming at the hands of No. 4 Texas (93-62, Dec. 8), Stony Brook (81-70, March 21) and Georgia State (73-62, Feb. 15).
Since 2000, the program has had three undefeated seasons at home: 2015-16 (14-0), 2006-07 (13-0) and 2005-06 (13-0). In that same time frame, the Dukes have had three seasons with 15 or more wins at home, 17 with a dozen or more, and 20 with 10 or more.
