JMU HOSTS GEORGIA STATE IN PLAY4KAY GAME
- James Madison welcomes Georgia State for the Dukes' Play4Kay game on Thursday, Feb. 15. The opening tip inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center is set for 5 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+.
- With a 9-3 start in Sun Belt Conference play, JMU is tied for second in the league with Troy (13-10, 9-3 SBC) behind first-place Marshall (17-6, 11-1 SBC).
- The Panthers are coming off an 80-63 loss at Miami (Ohio) on Feb. 10. The RedHawks outrebounded GSU 41-30 and shot 9-of-20 (.450) from three. Â
- The Dukes hold a 13-2 advantage in the all-time series against Georgia State, with both losses coming in the last two meetings.
LAST TIME VS. THE PANTHERS
- Georgia State shot 63.0 percent (17-of-27) from the field and 91.7 percent (11-of-12) from the free throw line in the second half to roll past James Madison, 82-72, inside the GSU Convocation Center on Jan. 31 in Sun Belt Conference women's basketball action.
- The Panthers outshot the Dukes, 48.4 percent (30-of-62) to 41.8 percent (28-of-67) - the highest clip by a JMU opponent in 2023-24.
- Peyton McDaniel paced all players with 19 points, knocked down 4-of-8 (.500) from three and grabbed eight rebounds. Ashanti Barnes recorded 16 points off the bench, while Kseniia Kozlova finished with eight points and six boards. Jamia Hazell dished out a season-high six assists and Amira Williams notched a season-best seven points.
- Georgia State had five players score in double figures, led by Kaleigh Addie with 17, followed by Crystal Henderson (15), Christeina Bryan (14), Mikyla Tolivert (12) and Mya Williams (11). Tolivert recorded a double-double with 11 rebounds to go along with her offensive production.

- James Madison holds a 74-65 (.532) record against current Sun Belt Conference foes and is 25-8 (.758) since joining the conference in 2022.
- The Dukes have encountered Old Dominion more than any other SBC opponent, trailing 53-29 in the all-time series. Additionally, ODU is the only team in the league with a winning record against JMU.

- The Dukes came in at 108th in the latest NCAA Net Rankings through games on Feb. 13, while James Madison's highest ranking in 2023-24 was 98th through games on Jan. 11. JMU is the second-highest in the Sun Belt behind Marshall (95th).
