Peyton McDaniel and
Kseniia Kozlova were both voted Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference, as the conference announced its 2024 annual awards Monday in a vote by the league's 14 head coaches.

This is McDaniel's second career Sun Belt annual award, as she was named 2023 Sixth Woman of the Year, while Kozlova earned SBC laurels for the first time in her career. The duo led the Dukes to a 21-10 record and the No. 3 seed for the Sun Belt Championship after going 13-5 in conference play.

McDaniel finished the regular season averaging 14.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, which ranked first and second on the team, respectively. The redshirt sophomore paced the conference in three-point percentage in league play, at 46.4 percent (45-97). McDaniel also finished league games ranking fourth in field-goal percentage (51.0) and eighth in scoring (16.3).

She enters postseason play with six double-doubles and nine games over 20 points. McDaniel surpassed 1,000 career points in the regular-season finale and scored a career-high 33 points at Southern Miss back on Jan. 11.

Kozlova averaged 12.2 points with a team-best 7.3 rebounds per game during the regular season. Kozlova was the most efficient shooter in the conference and ranked ninth nationally with a 61.9 percent field-goal percentage. She's currently on pace to finish with the highest shooting efficiency of any JMU player in school history (min. four FG per game).

On the glass, she rounded out the top five in Sun Belt play, grabbing 8.4 rebounds per league contest. The center had five double-doubles in the regular season and recorded four 20-point outings.

The third-seeded Dukes will have a double bye into the Sun Belt quarterfinals and will open up postseason play at the Pensacola Bay Center on Friday, March 8 at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT) against the winner of the No. 6 Southern Miss vs. No. 11 Coastal Carolina/No. 14 South Alabama winner.
