HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison football announced a signed contract for four additional games against in-state foe Liberty, bringing the total future matchups between the programs to six spanning the 2025 and 2034 seasons.
The Dukes begin the six-game stretch on Sept. 20, 2025, when they travel to Lynchburg, Va. The following season, on Sept. 5, 2026, JMU hosts the Flames at Bridgeforth Stadium.
The next time the two will meet will be on Sept. 6, 2031, in Harrisonburg. That begins a four-season stretch of JMU-Liberty games. The Dukes make the return trip to Lynchburg the following season on Sept. 11, 2032.
Previously announced, the six-game, home-and-home will conclude with a home game on Sept. 17, 2033, and a road matchup at LU on Sept. 16, 2034.
JMU also announced that it has signed a contract to host FCS foe Wagner out of the Northeast Conference on Sept. 12, 2026. The Dukes have now completed non-conference schedules through the 2026 season.
With the addition of the games, JMU now has
29 future non-conference games scheduled between 2024 and 2034.
