List Takes Home Third Team NFCA All-Region Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – James Madison redshirt freshman Payton List was named to the 2024 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division I All-Central Region Third Team, the organization announced on Saturday afternoon.
List was joined on the Third Team by fellow Sun Belt players Kayt Houston (App State), Bella Gerlach (Marshall), Brooke Ellestad (Louisiana), and Victoria Valdez (Louisiana).
List, the native of Beaver, Pa., earned the nod at Utility/Pitcher after splitting time in the circle and at the plate for the Dukes in 2024, finishing the season with a batting average of .333 with nine home runs, eight doubles, and 29 RBI while also tallying 32 appearances (15 starts) in the circle this season, working 89.0 innings and striking out 76.
The selection marks the 14th straight season a JMU player has been represented on an All-Region team. Sophomore KK Mathis earned third-team laurels in 2023.
