HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison linebacker Jacob Dobbs was selected to Bruce Feldman's 2024 Freaks List, which was published by The Athletic. The annual list highlights some of college football's most athletic student-athletes.
Dobbs came in at #34 on Feldman's top-100 list.
It's the third straight year he's appeared on the Freaks List, as he was #30 in 2023 and #44 in 2022, while at Holy Cross.
The Macomb, Mich., native transferred to JMU from Holy Cross (2019-23), where he was the all-time leader in tackles (432) and tackles for loss (46.5). The 2023 winner of the Comeback Player of the Year Award, Dobbs was a 2021 and 2023 finalist for the Stats Perform FCS Buck Buchanan Award and FCS All-American. Last season, he had 123 tackles with 12.0 TFL, 6.0 sacks and three forced fumbles.
This offseason, he clocked a laser-timed 1.53 10-yard split. The best at the NFL combine for linebackers last year was 1.54.
