Family Weekend Showdown on Sept. 28 Set for 1:30 p.m. on ESPN+

NEW ORLEANS – James Madison's Family Weekend matchup against Ball State on Saturday, Sept. 28 will kick off at 1:30 p.m. from Bridgeforth Stadium and will be streamed on ESPN+, the Sun Belt Conference and ESPN announced.

This will be the second meeting between the Dukes and Cardinals but JMU's and third overall against an active Mid-American Conference opponent. The Dukes last faced a MAC team on Sept. 7, 2013, when Akron held off the Dukes, 35-33. JMU and Ball State first met on Sept. 6, 1997 in Muncie Ind., which was a 24-6 BSU win.

JMU is also scheduled for a home-and-home with Miami (OH), traveling to Oxford, Ohio, in 2028 and hosting the RedHawks in 2031. The Dukes also have history with another MAC squad, as they won at home against Buffalo, 35-0, in 1994 while both teams were members of the NCAA Division I-AA (currently FCS).

The 2024 college football season marks the 13th straight year all Sun Belt home games will appear on an ESPN platform.
