HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison women's soccer forward
Ginny Lackey has been named to Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week, the outlet announced on Tuesday morning.
This past week, the Bolton, Manchester native led the Dukes to a 3-2 victory over Louisiana at Sentara Park, netting all three of JMU's goals to log the first hat trick by a JMU player since 2012. The result extended James Madison's unbeaten streak to five.
For the season, Lackey has netted 25 points from 10 goals and five assists. Respectively, she ranks first, tied for first and tied for third in the Sun Belt Conference. She's the first Duke to record back-to-back seasons of both at least 10 goals and 25 points since 2015-16.
The Dukes will take the pitch at Sentara Park one last time this season as they play host to South Alabama on Friday, Oct. 17. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
