HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison men's soccer fell to No. 12 Marshall, 2-0, on Saturday night at Sentara Park in Sun Belt Conference action.
The Dukes' winless streak reached five matches as they dropped to 1-8-3 (0-4-1 Sun Belt), while the Thundering Herd improved to 7-1-4 (4-1 Sun Belt).

Florentino Junior led the JMU attack with a career-high-tying two shots. Sophomore
Erik Jaspers played a full 90 minutes in goal and made five saves.
How It Happened
- The Herd struck for the first time in the 20th minute, using a header by Louie Salkeld directly off a corner kick for a 1-0 lead.
- JMU had an opportunity to level on a Junior shot from outside the penalty box, but a diving stop saved the attempt.
- Both defenses were strong in the opening 45 minutes, as both teams only had three shots with a combined two put on target.
- Marshall doubled its lead in the 52nd minute, finding the back of the net after the ball was bounced around the six-yard box.
- Sophomore Milo Wray placed a shot on goal on a corner kick in the waning seconds of the match that came up saved.
