NEW ORLEANS – James Madison's Alonza Barnett III was recognized for his on-field achievement by the Manning Award, as he was one of eight quarterbacks named to the Stars of the Week list.

Barnett tallied six total touchdowns, passing for two while rushing for a career-high four in JMU's 63-27 victory against Old Dominion on Oct. 18.

He threw for 295 yards while completing 68% of his passes and ran for a career-best 153 yards to finish with 448 yards of total offense, the seventh most in JMU single game history. His four rushing scores were also the most by a JMU player since 1999.

This is the second time Barnett has been honored on the weekly list, joining his inclusion on Sept. 23, 2025.
