HARRISONBURG, Va. – #20 James Madison concludes the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 29 with a trip to Conway, S.C., to face Sun Belt Conference foe Coastal Carolina, as it seeks a perfect league record in 2025.
Â
Kickoff from Brooks Stadium is set for 3:45 p.m., and the game will be nationally televised on ESPNU.

The 2025 season is presented by CarMax.

JMU is looking to join a very elite list of teams who completed Sun Belt play with an unblemished record.
During the championship game era of the league, only two teams have turned in undefeated conference marks.
Coastal Carolina went unbeaten in 2020, while Louisiana won each of its league games in 2021.
JMU, sitting at 7-0 entering the week, can also become the 10th Sun Belt team since the inception in 2001 to go undefeated in conference play.
A win at Coastal would also make JMU the seventh squad to go unbeaten in an eight-game SBC season.
 BREAKING DOWN THE SERIES
Saturday marks the sixth all-time meeting between JMU and Coastal Carolina, with the Dukes leading the 4-1.
JMU has won four straight, including all three matchups as Sun Belt Conference foes.
This is JMU's third trip to Conway, as it has split with CCU. The Chanticleers won the inaugural meeting, 31-27, in 2005, while JMU turned in the widest win margin in a 56-14 victory in the 2023 regular-season finale.
JMU is also 3-0 at home against the Chanticleers.
Since joining the Sun Belt, JMU has outscored Coastal by a 142-28 margin, averaging wins by 47.3 to 9.3.
EAST CHAMPS AND HOSTING THE SUN BELT FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
JMU had already captured its first Sun Belt Conference East Division on Nov. 15 and a week later, secured hosting rights for the 2025 Credit Union 1 Sun Belt Football Championship presented by Visit Pensacola.
Previously, the Dukes finished atop the Sun Belt East Division during both the 2022 (6-2) and 2023 (7-1) seasons, though were not able to be crowned division champions due to FCS to FBS reclassification rules.
Had JMU been eligible, it would have gone to Troy for the 2022 championship and hosted the Trojans in 2023.
The Dukes previously finished atop the East Division in both 2022 (6-2) and 2023 (7-1), though were ineligible to compete for the conference title due to reclassification rules from FCS to FBS.
UP A SPOT IN BOTH POLLS
JMU is ranked in both major college football polls for the third straight week and rose a spot in each to #20 in the AP Top 25 and #21 in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
JMU is once again the top-ranked Group of Six program in either poll, as North Texas (#21/#22) and Tulane (#22/#23) of the American Conference were also ranked this week.
Since joining the FBS in 2022, JMU has now been ranked in the AP Top 25 in 11 weeks, as its #20 ranking is the second-highest ranking JMU has ever achieved.
The #21 ranking in the Coaches Poll matches its highest ranking by the coaches, as it was also #21 twice in 2023.
NINE IN A ROW FOR THE DUKES
JMU battled back in the fourth quarter to secure its ninth consecutive victory in a 24-20 win over Washington State.
The nine-game streak is tied for the fourth longest in the country and the most by any G6 program this season.
JMU is also tied for the fifth-longest active road win streak, at four, and second in the G6 only to North Texas, which has won six straight away games.
Entering the final week of the regular season, JMU is one of just four FBS teams to be undefeated in conference play and the lone Group of Six squad to do so.
Joining the Dukes as unbeaten conference teams are Indiana (8-0), Ohio State (8-0) and Texas A&M (7-0).
 WHAT'S NEXT FOR JMU?
JMU will host the 2025 Credit Union 1 Sun Belt Football Championship presented by Visit Pensacola on Friday, Dec. 5.
Kickoff from Bridgeforth Stadium is set for 7 p.m. and will be televised nationally on ESPN.
JMU will face the winner of this week's matchup between Southern Miss and Troy.
This is JMU's inaugural berth in the Sun Belt title game and the first East Division team host the game since 2019.
