Tyson Thomas announced the women's tennis program's spring dual-match schedule, featuring 22 total matches with six at home.
The Dukes will compete in 17 matches within a four-hour radius of Harrisonburg while adding trips to Nebraska, Florida and New Jersey to round out the spring slate. The schedule also includes three Sun Belt Conference opponents, all on the road.
JMU opens the spring with five matches away from home, including two neutral-site bouts. JMU kicks it off with its longest trip of the season to Lincoln, Neb., where it will face Nebraska (Jan. 16) and Omaha (Jan. 17).
After a trip to Princeton (Jan. 25), the Dukes travel to Durham, N.C., for a pair of matches, taking on Kentucky (Jan. 31) and Duke (Feb. 1). Its matchup with UK will mark JMU's first dual match against former head coach Shelley Jaudon.
JMU opens the home schedule on Feb. 13 when it hosts Howard. The next three matches the JMU out of town to power-conference foes, as it travels to Virginia Tech (Feb. 15), Maryland (Feb. 18) and Penn State (Feb. 20).
The Dukes return home for three matches over two days, hosting Richmond on Feb. 28 while welcoming in VCU and Towson for a doubleheader on March 1.
JMU then embarks on a seven-match road trip over the next month, with a pair of matches in Williamsburg, Va., at William & Mary (Mar. 6) and versus Drexel (Mar. 7), a Spring Break trip to South Florida to face FIU (Mar. 16) and Florida Atlantic (Mar. 18), and bus trips to Marshall (Mar. 27), Charlotte (Apr. 3) and Old Dominion (Apr. 7).
JMU closes its home slate on April 11 and 12 with matchups against East Carolina, followed by George Mason on Senior Day. The regular season concluded at App State (Apr. 17) before the Dukes head to Rome, Ga., for the Sun Belt Women's Tennis Championship, held April 22-26 at the Rome Tennis Center.
