CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte right-hander Black Gillespie struck out 11 batters and threw the second no-hitter in program history as James Madison baseball fell, 5-0, on Friday afternoon in the series opener at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium.

The Dukes dropped to 5-8 and have lost their last four games, while Charlotte improved to 5-6.

Eli Steadman, drawing a walk in the second inning. Sophomore
Jackson Logar started on the mound and went six innings, striking out six while giving up three runs and five hits.

Second Inning
A two-run single plated the first runs of the game for Charlotte as it opened up a 2-0 lead.

Sixth Inning
Charlotte pushed another run on the board off a solo shot from Connor Maryniak to make it 3-0.

Seventh Inning
Two runs were knocked in by Charlotte to make it 5-0 on a double into the left field corner.
