NORFOLK, Va. –
Peyton McDaniel and
Kseniia Kozlova of James Madison were named to the 2024-25 University Division All-State Women's Basketball Team, as announced by the Virginia Sports Information Directors on Tuesday afternoon.

McDaniel earned First Team All-State status for the first time in her career after she paced JMU in scoring (16.0 ppg), rebounding (8.3 rpg), steals (61) and blocks (26) on her way to being named the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year. The guard concluded the year as the only Division I player in 2024-25 to average 16 or more points and eight or more rebounds while making at least 70 shots from three. Â

Kozlova – a Second Team selection – finished second on the team in scoring (12.5 ppg) and third in rebounding (7.4 rpg). The center recorded 28 double-digit scoring outings and three games with 20-plus points to help JMU achieve a program-best 30 wins. Kozlova also registered nine double-doubles, including double-double performances at No. 6 Notre Dame (14 points, 11 rebounds) and No. 19 NC State (15 points, 13 rebounds).
