JMU Bookstore Introduces “Dukes Roundup” Option to Support Student-Athletes on Football Weekends

HARRISONBURG, Va. – Beginning this fall, visitors to the JMU Bookstore on home football weekends can now directly impact James Madison student-athletes with the "Dukes Roundup."

All guests making purchases at the JMU Bookstore on Friday through Sunday of home football weekends will be prompted "Would you like to round up to support the JMU Student-Athlete experience?" If the guest selects yes, the purchase will be rounded up to the nearest whole dollar amount with the extra amount going to the JMU Duke Club to support funding, such as scholarships and other operating budget expenses that directly impact the success of JMU student-athletes.

"The JMU Bookstore and the team at Follett have been great partners of JMU Athletics for many years," JMU Director of Athletics Matt Roan said. "This is a great opportunity for our constituents to enhance the student-athlete experience at JMU a little bit at a time. Small investments add up in big ways to allow us to maximize the potential of JMU's athletics program and to recruit and retain the best talent."

Home football dates for Fall 2025 include August 30 vs. Weber State, Sept. 27 for Family Weekend vs. Georgia Southern, Oct. 11 vs. Louisiana, Oct. 18 for Homecoming vs. Old Dominion, Nov. 15 vs. App State and Nov. 22 vs. Washington State. Single game tickets for all games, except Family Weekend, are still available at JMUSports.com.

The JMU Bookstore is open Fridays 8-5 and Sunday 12-5. Saturday hours can vary depending upon kickoff time but generally are 10 a.m. to 30 minutes postgame.
