HARRISONBURG, Va. - Former James Madison softball stars Odicci Alexander, Megan Good, Jailyn Ford, and Kate Gordon have all been named to the Sports Illustrated Softball All-Quarter-Century Team, the publication released on Friday.
In a fan-driven vote, the publication released a list of names, organized by positional groups, throughout the summer to be voted on, highlighting the best collegiate softball players of the last 25 years.
On the 36-player list, Gordon represented the Dukes as one of the six outfielders selected, while Alexander, Good, and Ford claimed three out of the five spots amongst utility players.
Combined, the four former Dukes earned numerous all-conference and all-region laurels to go along with 12 All-American selections, eight player of the year honors, seven pitcher of the year nods, along with Good being recognized as the 2017 Division I NFCA National Player of Year during their time in Harrisonburg.
The quartet was also members of five conference championship teams, eight NCAA Regional appearances, and three NCAA Super Regionals.
Along with their laundry list of accolades, Alexander and Gordon most notably led the program to its first-ever berth in the Women's College World Series in 2021, where the Dukes were the first unseeded team in WCWS history to begin competition with two-straight wins.
