HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison swim & dive Head Coach
Dane Pedersen announced the schedule for the 2025-26 season on Wednesday morning, the first for the program in the American Conference.
Â
"Excited how our schedule finally came together," said Pedersen. "A few different opponents and a new midseason invite with both swimming and diving together are really exciting. Of course, we're also excited to see what our first season in the American Conference brings in February."
Â
The Dukes begin the season in Philadelphia on Oct. 18, when they travel to La Salle for a tri-meet with the Explorers and Drexel. JMU then returns home for the first of two dual meets inside Savage Natatorium, hosting Marshall on Nov. 1 and Navy on Jan. 24. The Dukes will compete in an additional three dual meets on the road, traveling to Towson (Dec. 18), Villanova (Jan. 17) and Richmond (Jan. 23).
Â
Prior to hosting Navy in January, the Dukes will conclude the fall portion of their schedule in Annapolis at the Navy Invitational on Nov. 20-22. Both swimmers and divers for JMU will compete at the invite.
Â
After the Navy dual meet, the team will split up before convening for the American Championships. The swimmers will head to the Cavalier Invitational, hosted by Virginia, on Feb. 5-7, while the divers head further down to Blacksburg for the Virginia Tech Invitational on Feb. 6-8.
Â
The American Championships will take place in Greensboro, N.C. at the Greensboro Aquatics Center from Feb. 18-21. Nine days later, the swimmers will compete at a to be determined location in the ECAC Championships on Feb. 27-March 1. Qualified divers will then head to the U.S. Naval Academy for the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships on March 10-12.
