CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – James Madison diving wrapped up a three-day stay at the Virginia Tech Invitational inside the Christiansburg Aquatic Center on Sunday.

The weekend began on Friday with the 3-meter board, the 1-meter board took place on Saturday and platform diving happened on Sunday.

3-Meter Board
- Three Dukes placed in the championship final of the 3-meter board, including redshirt junior Natalie Jones who scored the second highest prelim score. In the finals, she scored 281.70 to finish in third and was followed by senior Maddie O'Mera (280.50) in fourth place. Sophomore Emma LaFountain scored 233.05 in the finals.
- In the consolation final, freshman Valerie Hardin finished third with a score of 219.50. Sophomore Juliet Wells finished sixth with a score of 198.20.

1-Meter Board
- Jones earned her second third-place finish of the weekend, scoring 274.85 in the championship final of the 1-meter board. O'Mera scored a 233.65 to finish fifth and Hardin finished seventh with a score of 217.95.
- With a score of 243.50, Wells finished second in the consolation final, while LaFountain finished fourth with a score of 232.15.

Platform Diving
- In the prelims of the platform, Jones finished fourth (163.60), Hardin fifth (153.20), LaFountain sixth (147.10) and Wells seventh (119.65).

Up Next
The divers will be back competing on Feb. 18-21 when they join the swimmers in Greensboro, N.C. for the American Conference Championship.
