HARRISONBURG, Va. – The James Madison duo of Brooklyn Hoffmann and Sophie Williams were ranked 89th in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I doubles rankings.

It's the first time since the Nov. 2023 that a JMU tandem has been ranked nationally.

JMU's top doubles team holds a 12-4 record this academic year, including a 10-3 mark during the dual-match season. Following Monday's doubles victory in JMU's thrilling 4-3 win at FIU, the two have won six straight matches.

Of the 10 doubles wins this spring nine have been by a 6-3 margin or better, including three 6-0 bouts.

They have been honored as Sun Belt Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week four times this year.

JMU is back in action on Wednesday, March 18 when it faces Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, Fla. The match is slated for a 10 a.m. start.
