WILMINGTON, N.C. – Freshman
Ethan Anderson finished a career-best 13th to lead James Madison men's golf at the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Tuesday.

Anderson competed as an individual outside of the JMU lineup and placed 11th in the 88-player field at the par-72, 7,030-yard Country Club of Landfall. The Brisbane, Australia, native shot rounds of 69-71-76 and totaled even-par 216.

As a team, JMU finished in 15th place out of 15 teams with a score of 902 (+38), achieving rounds of 295-306-301. Tournament hosts UNCW won the tournament by nine strokes over No. 26 Duke, finishing at 18-under par (846).

Finishing No. 1 among the JMU lineup was senior
Václav Tichý, who tied for 31st with a 54-hole tally of 220 (+4) with rounds of 72-77-71. Classmate
Alex Seibal (74-74-77) tied for 54th, managing a three-round score of 225 (+9).

Michael Hake produced a tie for 64th, opening with a 74 (+2) before slipping with subsequent rounds of 78-76.
Owen Kose (75-77-80) tied for 75th with a score of 232 (+16) across his three rounds, while
Garrett Kuhla (76-80-77) made his first lineup appearance of the season, tying for 79th at 233 (+17).

The Dukes will continue their spring season April 6-7 at the Giles-Spratley Collegiate in Midlothian, Va., at the Independence Golf Club.
