Michael Hake took home a top 25 finish to lead the James Madison men's golf team at the Mountaineer Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.

Hake tied for 21st in the deep 104-player field that played three rounds at the Pete Dye Golf Club and its par-72, 7,308-yard layout. The junior carded rounds of 72-70-75 to finish at 217 (+1), notching his fifth top-25 finish of the season.

Finishing No. 2 for JMU was senior Václav Tichý, who rose 10 spots on the leaderboard Tuesday with a 71 (-1), finishing at 221 (+5) for the tournament after carding rounds of 76 and 74 on Monday.

Owen Kose tied for 57th at 224 (+8), carding rounds of 73-79-72.
Jonas DeLeon tied for 65th with a 54-hole score of 226 (+10), finishing with rounds of 73-77-76. Freshman

As a team, JMU finished ninth of 19 teams with a team score of 884 (+20). No. 36 Clemson won the team title with a three-round score of 844 (-20).

Playing in the individual tournament at the nearby Bridgeport Country Club, sophomore René Bergendi tied for sixth out of 33 players with a 54-hole score of 218 (+2), improving his scores every round and finishing with rounds 77-71-70.
Alex Seibal tied for 13th at 226 (+10) with rounds of 74-77-75.
