HARRISONBURG, Va. – Four James Madison swimmers and divers were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for the 2025-26 academic year, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

Riley Nugent,
Maddie O'Mera and
Alex Volk were joined by redshirt junior
Natalie Jones on the team.

A psychology major with a cumulative GPA of 3.747, Jones recorded six NCAA Zone qualifying scores on the 1-meter board and an additional four on the 3-meter. She finished 11
th at the American Championship on the 1-meter and 14
th on the 3-meter.

Nugent, a sport & recreation management major with a 3.541 cumulative GPA, finished 12
th in the 200 Back at the American Championship. She also was a part of the 800 Free Relay team that finished sixth at the American Championship.

O'Mera joined Jones as an NCAA Zone qualifier, while posting a 3.876 cumulative GPA in the classroom as a health sciences major. In the pool, she recorded five NCAA Zone qualifying scores on the 1-meter and eight on the 3-meter. She finished sixth with a score of 291.95 on the 3-meter at the American Championship.

An accounting major with a cumulative GPA of 3.76, Volk was a B-finalist at the American Championship in the 50 Free, 100 Free and 200 Free. She earned gold as part of the 200 Free Relay team that set a school record with a time of 1:30.22 at the championship. She was then part of three more relay teams that finished in the top five in Greensboro.
