Munteanu Garners CSC Academic All-District Honors

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison senior Daria Munteanu has been selected to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Team.
This is the first such honor in her career, as she just capped off her JMU career ranking in the top eight of every program wins categories. She finished ranking sixth in doubles wins (65), seventh in total wins (135) and tied for eighth in singles wins (70).
She was a three-time All-Sun Belt selection over the course of her career, collecting Second Teams singles honors in 2024 and 2026 and First Team doubles accolades in 2023.
Munteanu will graduate from JMU this spring with a bachelor's degree in justice studies.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Team, an individual must hold at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, be a sophomore or older and have played in at least 70% of the team's matches during the spring.
