Hill Tabbed to 2026 NFHCA Division I Watchlist

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- Brynna Hill garnered national attention Thursday morning, being named to the 2026 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Watchlist, powered by Performance Sports Events (PSE).
Hill enters her fourth year for JMU, appearing in 57 games and starting in 34 for the Dukes over her career. The Downington, Pa. native is the Dukes leading returning offensive producer, registering 11 points while scoring three goals and dishing out five assists in 2025. Hill managed 12 shots, putting eight of those on target to reach a .667 shots on goal percentage. Collectively, Hill has amassed 27 points on eight goals and 11 assists and holds a career .655 shots on goal percentage.Â
The 2026 NFHCA Watchlist recognizes field hockey student-athletes who have demonstrated a high level of achievement and are considered among those with strong potential for NFHCA All-Region and All-American consideration this season. Student-athletes were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches and must have earned qualifying field hockey recognition within the previous two years. Qualifying honors include NFHCA All-Region, NFHCA All-America, All-Conference, Senior Nexus Championship selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team, or selection to a U.S. National or international team roster.
Hill and the Dukes start the 2026 season at the Conference Cup, facing off with Temple on Friday, Aug. 28 and 3 p.m. and then taking on Drexel on Sunday, August. 30 at 11 a.m. Both games can be streamed on Big Ten Plus.Â
