This is the first Alumni edition of the podcast. A literal leadoff hitter steps into the batter's box for the debut edition. Corey Hoch was a redshirt senior under first-year head coach Spanky McFarland, providing leadership in a transition year of 1998 while enjoying the best year of his JMU player experience. Hoch leans on his Diamond Duke buddies even today as you learn in this podcast.
Batting second is Emilly Schutt, who played field hockey for the Dukes and is continuing her education at the University of New England in Maine, studying marine biology.
