A team of multi-skilled professionals, utilizing current research, educational knowledge, and state-of-the-art equipment and technology, strives to provide a comprehensive and progressive approach to assuring the holistic wellbeing of each student-athlete.

The sports medicine department provides quality services to our student-athletes through our experienced and caring staff of 17 staff athletic trainers, an in-house team physician and physician assistant, and a full-time administrative assistant/insurance coordinator. Additionally, JMU student-athletes have access to a variety of orthopedic specialists through a formal relationship with the University of Virginia Health System.
