Visiting Team Guide
The James Madison Sports Medicine staff will make every effort to assist you during your visit. A BOC certified athletic trainer will be in attendance for each event and available to help coordinate use of an athletic training room if needed.
Water, cups, injury ice, and emergency equipment will be provided on site for competitions. For more details regarding your specific sport, please refer to the visiting team letter sent out by the athletic trainer specific to your sport.
If your team will be traveling without a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, we ask that you:
- Please notify us 48 hrs prior to your arrival on campus
- Please send any taping/wrapping supplies that your team requires
- Please send written permission and parameters for the use of modalities for each athlete requiring treatment
- Please review the appropriate Emergency Action Plan with the coaching staff
Additionally, if your team will be practicing prior to your event at JMU, kindly contact our athletic training staff so that we may ensure the availability of water and emergency equipment.
