- He had inherited runners at the corners with no outs, and the one that scored did so with two outs
- Against Le Moyne, made first career start, giving up four runs on eight hits in four innings of work, striking out two
- Second win came in relief against Coppin State
- Pitched 6.1 innings of relief against VCU, giving up just two hits and no runs to earn his third victory
- Named CAA Co-Rookie of the Week after that performance
- In second career start, pitched 6 2/3 innings while allowing three hits, one run and struck out five versus Towson
- Worked 5 1/3 innings in a start against Hofstra, yielding three earned runs on eight hits while striking out six in a no-decision
- Toiled seven innings, scattering six hits, two walks and fanned a career-high seven in a 4-3 win at home versus Richmond
- That was a "stopper" decision as the Dukes snapped a 10-game losing streak in addition to a five-game stretch of losses in the UR series
- Made the Dean's List during the 2003-04 academic year.
