Chris Kelty began with the Dukes in 2007 as the Director of Baseball Operations. He coordinates all of JMU’s practice and game video footage. He also assists with keeping statistics, working summer camps, and serves other administrative functions.
Kelty came to Harrisonburg from Lexington, Ky. where he was the assistant coach at Tates Creek High School. The Commodores ranked among the top 20 teams in the state each season. Kelty coached two players selected in the Major League Baseball amateur draft and saw several others advance to play collegiately. He also worked as an instructor at University of Kentucky baseball camps and the Midwest Baseball Academy.
Kelty earned his bachelors degree in communications from Kentucky in 2002 and his masters in secondary education in 2005. He and his wife, Kate, have two sons, John and Ben.
