Cal Hall joined the JMU Sports Medicine Department as an assistant athletic trainer working with the men's basketball program in 2013. Hall also serves as an approved clinical preceptor with the CAATE approved Athletic Training Education Program and provides clinical education and evaluation for the undergraduate athletic-training students.
Hall most recently was the assistant athletic trainer working with men’s basketball at Tulane University from 2011-2013. Prior to that, he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Tulane where he earned his masters in public health in 2011. While he served as a graduate assistant at Tulane, he worked with their football and women’s swimming and diving programs.
Hall received his undergraduate degree from East Carolina University in May 2009 where he majored in athletic training with a minor in exercise and sport science. Hall is nationally certified by the Board of Certification and is a licensed athletic trainer by the Virginia Board of Medicine. He also holds advanced certifications in the Graston Technique soft tissue mobilization as well as the Functional Movement Screen Level 1.
