Jeronimo Boche comes to James Madison University as associate athletic trainer after nearly a decade in the sports medicine department at Florida State University.

Boche provided medical coverage for FSU football for six years, in which he gained invaluable experience. He was part of the sports medicine team that helped the Seminoles reach two Orange Bowls, one College Football Playoff and a win in the 2013 BCS National Championship. His vast experience in dealing with the explosive athlete dates back to when he first joined FSU in 2007.

Prior to making the switch to football he served as the staff athletic trainer for the Seminole men's and women's track and field and cross country programs, helping the men win the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field title.

During his tenure at FSU he also spearheaded the concussion management program for Florida State University. Boche worked alongside the team physician and team neuropsychologist to develop concussion assessment and management procedures for the entire athletic department.

Boche earned his Master of Science degree in health and human performance from Oklahoma State University in 2007. During his time at OSU he served as the graduate assistant athletic trainer responsible for the care and rehabilitation of the OSU women's soccer program. He was also an Accredited Curriculum Instructor (ACI) for the CAATE approved curriculum.

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Boche received his Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science degree with an emphasis in athletic training from Texas State University in 2004.

During the summer of 2003 Boche earned an internship via the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society (PFATS). Boche served as an intern athletic trainer with the NFL Arizona Cardinals in Phoenix, Az.

Boche has been a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association since 2004 and he is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine.

Jeronimo is married to Dr. Katy Boche, and they have one son, Everett.
