Caleb Selk is in his first season with the James Madison football program in 2026, as he serves as the Assistant A.D. for Football.
In this role, Selk oversees the program’s day-to-day operations.
Selk joins the Dukes after three seasons at Virginia Tech (2023-25), where he was Assistant A.D. for Football Operations. Selk was part of two bowl appearances with the Hokies.
Prior to VT, Selk joined the collegiate football ranks as director of football operations and player development at Eastern Illinois (2022). In that capacity, Selk played a key role in the Panthers’ day-to-day operations, assisting with travel logistics, leading community service efforts while serving as a liaison to compliance, fundraising and facility management.
Selk also brings in NFL experience, having served operations and marketing roles with the Chicago Bears (2017-19) after previously working as an equipment intern with the organization. During his time in Chicago, Selk oversaw operations for the Bears Training Camp in 2017 and 2018, including lodging, transportation, meals, credentials, facilities, team itineraries and vendor logistics.
Prior to joining college football, Selk spent the summer of 2022 in technology operations as a minor league video coordinator for the Milwaukee Brewers Double-A team in Biloxi, Mississippi, following college baseball coaching stints at Greenville University (2020-21) and McKendree University (2021-22).
A native of Manteno, Ill., Selk is a 2019 graduate of Wheaton College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business and economics while playing baseball and serving as a team captain. He is married to his wife, Maci.
