- Three-time team captain while leading Gulliver Prep to three straight district titles
- Averaged 15.3 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks for his career
- As a senior, averaged 18.0 points, 14.0 rebounds and 5.0 blocks while being named First Team All-County in Dade County
- Helped the Raiders to a state water polo championship as a junior
- Also was a start for the district champion football squad at Westminster as a freshman, along with also playing volleyball

Why did you choose JMU?
Good fit for me and my family and also it's a great school.          Â
What is your major and why?
Economics, because I've always liked business and I felt economics was a good fit for me.          Â
If not basketball, what other sport would you play?
Either football or baseball; I played both in high school and liked them both a lot.          Â
What is your favorite thing to do in Harrisonburg?
Play basketball and meet new people.          Â
If you could go anywhere on vacation where would it be and why?
I'm in Harrisonburg most of the year so I would choose home back in Miami, Fl.          Â
How old were you when you first knew that you wanted to play basketball in college?
Probably in middle school when I realized that I was almost a foot taller than everyone else.          Â
Where did you live your freshman year?
I went to Virginia Tech my freshman year. I stayed in Cochrane hall while I was there.          Â
Which of your teammates would you most want to play in a one-on-one game and why?
It doesn't matter to me, I'm sure I can beat all of them anyways.          Â
What is one thing every JMU student should do at JMU before graduating?
Come watch the basketball team play of course.          Â
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Playing overseas, traveling, or working back home.           Â
What will it take for you to consider this season a success?
Play well as a team, not give up when we're down, win as many games as possible, and bring home the CAA championship.          Â
What was your most embarrassing moment in high school?
Got caught saran wrapping my assistant principal's car.          Â
What is your go-to song to get into the right mindset for a game?

Who on the team would be best at playing another sport?
Ray would probably be a good football player.          Â
Other than playing pro basketball, what are your career goals?
Hopefully get a good job to support and help raise my future family.          Â
