Michael Fisher joined the Duke Club in August 2017 as the assistant athletic director of development. In this role, he is responsible for securing major gifts and leadership-level annual fund contributions. Additionally, he will oversee the Duke Club Annual Fund and assist in the day-to-day operations of the Duke Club.
Prior to his JMU role, Fisher held athletic fundraising positions with Old Dominion as the Director of the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation and Tulane as the Director of the Tulane Athletics Fund.
A native of Richmond,Va., Fisher is a double graduate of VCU, receiving his bachelor's degree in 2011 and his master's from the Center for Sport Leadership in 2012.
Fisher enjoys spending time in the great outdoors (fishing and trail running) and exploring the best of Virginia with his wife, Katie, and their rescued pup from New Orleans, Delachaise.
