Parker Jacobs currently serves as the assistant director of events under facilities and event operations. She is the game manager for both men’s and women’s soccer, swimming & diving, track & field, lacrosse, and women’s basketball. She also coordinates all special events that occur in JMU’s athletic facilities.
Before coming to JMU, Jacobs served as an intern and natatorium assistant at the Greensboro Coliseum complex from 2010-2011. She had many responsibilities which included providing assistance with event managers, organizing daily events throughout the ACC men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, musical events, and she even created a “learn to swim” program for the new natatorium venue.
From 2011-2014, she was the special assistant to the AD/operations assistant/spirit coordinator at the College of Charleston. Her duties consisted of maintenance and presentation of all university athletic facilities, coordinating and scheduling practices and other events, and assist in promoting and selling tickets to College of Charleston’s sporting events.
Jacobs received her Bachelor of Science in hospitality and tourism from Western Carolina University in 2010.
