Haley Miller is in her first season as the volunteer assistant coach with the James Madison women’s soccer team after spending the last four years as a player on the team.
In four years at Madison, Miller played in 69 games, starting 27 of them while accumulating six goals and four assists for 16 career points. As a team captain in 2013, Miller played in all 21 games while helping JMU to its first outright Colonial Athletic Association regular season championship.
As a freshman in 2010, Miller played in 21 of the Dukes’ 23 games while helping JMU appear in its most recent NCAA Tournament. In the tournament, the Dukes topped Texas 3-1 in the first round before falling to No. 3 North Carolina in the second round.
Miller was a standout performer in the classroom as well. She earned the CAA Commissioners Academic Award each of her four years as a student while also earning JMU Athletic Director Scholar-Athlete recognition as a sophomore, junior and senior.
Miller graduated in 2014 with a degree in special education and is currently enrolled in graduate school at JMU to earn a master’s degree in special education.
