As a graduate assistant athletic trainer, Jill Wagers works with the JMU volleyball team on injury prevention and rehabilitation. Wagers is currently working towards her Master of Science in sport and recreation leadership.
Prior to JMU, Wagers was an assistant athletic trainer at Washington College, where she worked with 17 NCAA Division III sports on injury prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation and provided coverage of Kent County High School.
Wagers received her Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Appalachian State University in 2014, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In college, she was an athletic training student representative for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and a member of Gamma Beta Phi.
Wagers is a licensed athletic trainer in both Maryland and Virginia, and is nationally certified by the Board of Certification. She is from North Carolina and currently resides in Harrisonburg.
