John Streicher is in his second year at James Madison University, and the first under the new title of Director of Football Operations and Player Personnel.

Streicher is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the JMU football program, including organizing and implementing team travel, planning recruiting visits, coordinating team meals and meetings. Streicher works hand-in-hand with on-campus entities to coordinate players’ scholarships and roster organization.

He is also the co-coordinator of summer camp programs, overseeing the program’s compliance paperwork, scheduling and organizing community service outings and directs all special projects and programs for JMU Football.

Streicher founded and organized the Alpha Dog football support group, planned and designed the renovations of the APC offices and locker room, worked with the equipment staff to design new uniforms and helmets and plans all JMU football events.

Along with his operations role, Streicher now oversees JMU football’s recruiting. He is responsible for roster manipulation, recruiting calendars, events and who ultimately is offered a scholarship to play at JMU.

Streicher spent six seasons on staff at Ohio State before arriving at JMU, working as an equipment manager for the first four seasons and spending his final two seasons as a student assistant with the defensive staff. He worked directly under JMU Head Coach Everett Withers for two years at OSU working with the secondary.

Streicher earned his bachelor's and master’s degrees from Ohio State. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, by way of Oak Hills High School, he is the youngest of three for parents Jack and Debbie Streicher. He is married to the former Carolina Farrar.
