Alisa Harris was a leading performer on women's basketball teams that compiled some of the top accomplishments in the university's athletics history. A four-year starter, she had 1,473 points and 683 rebounds in a career during which JMU compiled a 104-19 overall record, won three Colonial Athletic Association titles, and advanced three times to the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA Tournament.
She is among only three Dukes with career totals of more than 1,400 points and 600 rebounds, and she still ranks third on the team's career scoring list and eighth on its all-time rebounding list. She was the conference rookie of the year in 1985, an all-league and all-league defensive honoree in 1988, and a conference all-tournament selection in 1986 and 1988.
During her four seasons JMU had records of 22-7, 28-4, 27-4, and 27-4, had a 53-4 mark against CAA teams, and won its last 30 games against CAA opponents.
