HARRISONBURG, Va. (12/29/2004) – Mark Wilson came off the bench to score a career-high 27 points, spark a 19-0 scoring run early during the first half and lead High Point to an 82-63 win over JMU.
JMU led 9-6 at the first media timeout (15:54), but the Panthers scored the next 19 points to lead 25-9 with 9:31 left in the half. Wilson, making his third appearance since becoming eligible at the end of the first semester under NCAA transfer rules, had nine points during the burst.
The run ended on a

A seven-point spurt during the last 46 seconds of the opening half gave High Point a 45-28 lead, and the margin was 21 twice during the second half, the last at 67-46 with 11:06 remaining.
JMU cut the lead to 10 with back-to-back three-pointers by
Ray Barbosa and
Jomo Belfor and six-for-six shooting at the free throw line. Johnson hit the first two of the free throws, and
Chris Clarke added the next four. However, after trailing 68-58 with eight minutes, the Dukes got no closer.
