EAST LANSING, Mich., Sept. 11, 2005 -- The Dukes played a strong game against St. Louis, winning 4-1 Sunday.
Mary Henry, a freshman for St. Louis, scored the first goal at 3:04 into the game. JMU junior Baillie Versfeld (Bulawayo,Zimbabwe/Dominion Convent) had two goals for the game, one of which was scored at 9:54 into the first half, and the second goal was the game-winning goal, which was scored at 62:11. Both goals were assisted by junior Maureen Klingler (State College, Pa./State College).  Freshman Ashley Walls (Berlin, N.J./Eastern Regional) had the second goal for JMU, which was assisted by Baillie Versfeld at 24:58 and put the Dukes in winning position to end the first half.
In the second half the Dukes continued to put forth a valiant effort. Â Sophomore Amy DeCecco (Newton Square, Pa./ Marple Newton) Â had the third goal for the Dukes at 45:32. DeCecco's goal was assisted by Mallory Counihan (Middletown, N.J./ Red Bank Catholic).

The win over St. Louis brings the Dukes' record to 4-2 for the season.
