HARRISONBURG, Va., Nov. 5, 2007 – The James Madison football team goes on the road for the second-straight week when it plays a 7 p.m. Colonial Athletic Association game at William & Mary Saturday (Nov. 10).

The Dukes will take a 6-3 overall record and a 4-2 CAA mark into the contest after falling 37-34 in CAA play at Delaware last Saturday (Nov. 3). Â William & Mary is 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the CAA after losing 38-14 at league foe Hofstra last Saturday.

JMU leads the series with the Tribe 15-14 and has won the teams' last three meetings. Â The Dukes won 31-17 last season in Harrisonburg, 30-29 two years ago at William & Mary, and 48-34 at William & Mary in the semifinals of the 2004 NCAA Division I-AA playoffs. Â JMU has played William & Mary more often than any other team.

JMU will enter play Saturday ranked 16th in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision poll by The Sports Network. Â The Dukes had been 12th in the poll the previous week.

JMU got a 403-yard rushing effort at Delaware but couldn't overcome four turnovers. Â The Dukes had 442 yards overall to Delaware's 418, but the host Blue Hens didn't have a turnover.

Senior tailback Antoinne Bolton (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) ran for 172 yards and two touchdowns and redshirt freshman tailback Griff Yancey (Glen Allen, Va./Hermitage) for 171 yards and two scores for the Dukes. Â Yancey also returned seven kickoffs for 152 yards and earned CAA rookie of the week honors for his efforts.

Defensively, JMU was led by junior safety Marcus Haywood (Williamsburg, Va./Bruton), who had a career-high 15 tackles, including 10 unassisted stops.

William & Mary scored the game's first points last Saturday at Hofstra but didn't get its second touchdown until the final period.

After facing William & Mary, JMU will return home for a 1:30 p.m. game Nov. 17 against CAA opponent Towson.
