Steven Caseres (New City, N.Y./St. Joseph's Regional) had four hits and sophomore
Lee Bujakowski (Hopewell, Va./Hopewell) had five RBIs as James Madison University defeated Old Dominion University 12-6 in a Colonial Athletic Association baseball game on Sunday at Long Field/Mauck Stadium.
JMU improved to 2-12 overall and 1-2 in the CAA. The Dukes snapped a 10-game losing streak, tied for the longest in school history. JMU's 12 runs and 17 hits were season highs. It was just the second time that the Dukes outhit their opponent, the other came in the only other win of the season against Seton Hall.
ODU dropped to 13-8 overall, 2-1 in the CAA and had a five-game winning streak against JMU snapped.
Freshman
Kyle Hoffman (Reading, Pa./Twin Valley) took the win for JMU to improve to 2-1, giving him both wins for the season for the Dukes with the first coming in a darkness-shortened, six-inning game. He allowed six runs, four earned, on eight hits with four strikeouts. Senior
Bobby Lasko (Athens, Pa./Athens Area) limited the Monarchs to no runs on two hits in the final 2 1/3 innings.
Junior Ryan Bergh (Reddick, Fla./Pensacola J.C.) took the loss for ODU after allowing seven runs on 10 hits with four strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Caseres had a career-high and team season-high four hits for the day. He drove in two runs and scored twice. Bujakowski entered the day with just one RBI on four hits but went 2-for-3 with two doubles, a walk a run scored, and a career-best five RBIs. Senior short stop

Alex Foltz (Mathias, W.Va./East Hardy) had two hits and scored twice.
Junior Chris Keenan (Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge) and freshman Jake McAloose (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) each had two hits. McAloose had two doubles and drove in a pair while Keenan scored twice. Junior David Burns (Jacksonville, Fla./Lake Sumter C.C.) drove in a pair of runs for the Monarchs.
JMU put up the first run of the game in the first inning. Stoneburner singled through the middle with one out and moved to second on a groundout by junior
Kellen Kulbacki (Palmyra, Pa./Hershey). Caseres picked up his team-best 11
th RBI of the season with a single through the left side for a 1-0 JMU lead.
The Dukes added three runs in the second inning. Foltz reached base on a bunt single to third and displayed his speed, coming all the way around to score from first base on a double down the rightfield line by Bujakowski. He moved to second with good base running on a groundout by second baseman
Rob Altieri (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic). Lake was hit by a pitch and advanced to second on a stolen base to set up second and third with two down. The steal paid off as Stoneburner lined a two-run single to right for a 4-0 JMU lead.
JMU loaded the bases in the third on a single, walk, and infield single with one out. Bujakowski drove in his second run of the day on a fielder's choice groundout to the shortstop to score Caseres for a 5-0 Dukes' lead.
Old Dominion put its first run on the board in the fifth. An RBI single by Mike Zahm (Omaha, Neb./Iowa Western C.C.) with runners on first and second and one out drove in the Monarch run. McAloose found the gap in right center to empty the bases for two more runs, cutting the lead to 5-3.
JMU loaded the bases on one out in the sixth with a double by Lake, a Kulbacki walk, and a single by Caseres. Garner laid down
