HARRISONBURG, Va., Oct. 18, 2008 ? James Madison scored once in each half in a 2-0 men's soccer win over Georgia State in Colonial Athletic Association action Saturday evening at the JMU Soccer Complex.
The Dukes improved to 6-5-2 overall and evened their CAA record at 3-3-0. Georgia State, which dropped its fourth consecutive match, has a 4-6-3 overall record and is 0-4-2 in league play.
JMU's first goal came midway through the opening period. Senior Nick Zimmerman (Tampa Bay, Fla./Wharton) dribbled toward the right corner of the goal, drawing senior goalkeeper Filipe Carvalho (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/Zico Academy) to him.
