NORFOLK, Va., Nov. 11, 2009 ? James Madison completed victories over Northeastern and host Old Dominion while William and Mary rallied for the dual victory over the Dukes as the Colonial Athletic Association pod meet wrapped up on Sunday morning.
JMU defeated Northeastern 248-104 and topped ODU 207-146. The Dukes held a 124-115 lead over W&M through 13 events on Saturday, however the Tribe rallied in Sunday's final six races for the 190-161 win.
Senior P.J. Naber (Chantilly, Va./Chantilly) was the top swimmer for the Dukes on Sunday, placing second in the 100 freestyle in 52.68 seconds.
Freshman Caroline Burns (Severna Park, Md./Severn School) posted the ninth-best time in program history in the 200 backstroke with a mark of 2:07.77 and a third-place finish.
Sophomore Lauren Kranz (Clifton, Va./James Robinson) was third in the 500 free in 5:07.49, and sophomore Emily Vance (Moraga, Calif./Campolindo) followed in fourth in 5:08.87.
Junior Lisa Colapietro (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) finished third in the 200 breaststroke in 2:22.92.
JMU will be off next weekend before then competing in the Gamecock Invitational at the University of South Caorlina in Columbia November 19-21.
