WOMEN'S LACROSSE LOSES 10-7 TO TOWSON

HARRISONBURG, Va., April 19, 2009 -- Towson outscored James Madison 8-2 in the second half and went on to post a 10-7 come-from-behind win over the Dukes in Colonial Athletic Association women's lacrosse Sunday afternoon at the JMU Lacrosse Complex.
The Tigers, who won their fourth straight game, earned a berth in the four-team CAA Tournament. Towson upped its league record to 4-2 and its overall mark to 10-5.
JMU's record now stands at 5-10 overall and 1-5 in league play. It was the fourth straight loss for the Dukes.
Towson got five goals and an assist from junior Nikki Marcinik (Deale, Md./Southern), who scored four of those goals in the second period. Senior Britt Woodfield (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll) added two goals.
JMU got two goals each from senior Jaime Dardine (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) and sophomore Mary Kate Lomady (Abington, Pa.
