WOMEN'S SOCCER LOSES 4-0 AT GEORGETOWN

WASHINGTON, D.C., Sept. 2, 2009 -- Georgetown remained unbeaten and unscored upon this season as the Hoyas' women's soccer team shut out visiting James Madison Wednesday afternoon at Kehoe Field.
It was the seventh consecutive regular-season shutout for the Hoyas, who improved to 4-0-0. JMU evened its record at 2-2-0.
The Hoyas scored twice in each half, opening the game with a goal on a penalty kick by Ingrid Wells in the 34th minute.Â
A pass from Wells set up Georgetown's second score, which came just 36 seconds before halftime. Kelly D'Ambrisi put the ball into the net for the score.
In the second half the Hoyas got their third goal in the 60th minute, with Catherine Cabot scoring off a pass from Norah Swanson. Samantha Baker then scored off an assist from Cabot with 11:30 left in the match.
JMU redshirt junior goalkeeper Diane Wszalek (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) finished with nine saves, while Georgetown keeper Jackie DesJardin made six stops to get the shutout.
Georgetown held an 18-10 advantage on shots.
