Fan Zone Activites in Place for Family Weekend

The University Outpost Fan Zone will welcome Family Weekend to Godwin Field as the annual Parents Council Event will host JMU parents for a tailgate on game day. The Fan Zone will be open from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday morning in advance of the 12:30 p.m. football game against the Towson Tigers.
Due to the popularity of the Dog Walk, the route for the pregame team walk will expand, as football team members leave Showker Hall at 10:15 a.m. and walk around the perimeter of Godwin Field before making their way to the Clementine's Presents Sound Stage for a short rally led by Coach Everett Withers and a player. Fans can show their support for the Dukes and wish the team good luck before the big matchup against Towson.
The Dog Walk kicks off the MadiZONE Pregame Show that runs from 10-11 a.m. on Godwin Field. The student-run production will feature interviews, analysis, and breakdown before the game and can be watched live on MadiZONE HD Sportsnet presented by the JMU Alumni Association.
The University Outpost Fan Zone includes inflatable games and a bounce house, face painting by JMU Cheerleaders and the Schewels TV Zone, which features the early games around the country in college football. Fans can also sign their child up for the Puppy Pound Kids Club presented by Chick-fil-A of Harrisonburg. The Puppy Pound includes a T-shirt and tickets to select men's and all women's basketball games for only $10. There are also a number of giveaway items courtesy of JMU sponsors while Chick-fil-A and Starbucks products will be available for purchase.
